In Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh is the best place to visit India. Ladakh is considered to be the best place for tourists due to the snow-covered mountains and high cold deserts, flashing lakes and natural beauty . Due to high mountains and rugged land, Ladakh is famous for tremendous sports like trekking, mountain biking, river rafting. The only thrilled track is Stok Kangri. In the mountains of Ladakh, this is the highest peak of the Stok series. Its height is 20,000 feet and Stok Kangri is considered the most difficult and challenging track. Recently, people’s attention was drawn to Stok Kangri for tracking.

About the Trek:

In the beginning you will be very scared to be tracking here but as you move forward, you will be able to adapt yourself to this track. If you are coming from Flight to Ladakh, you should prepare yourself completely for this track or else you may have headache and jitteriness.

It is very important to be physically fit to complete this track. The final phase of the track is extremely difficult because it is difficult to breathe because of the high altitude here. This is a 8-day long track and starts from Leh and ends up there too. Experience is also needed to overcome this track. You can track Stok Kangri in the month of July to August. At this time most of the snow has melted and you see the mountain peak clearly.

Do things go

Do not forget to take rain cover, energy bar and dried fruits, toiletries, water bottles and yes medical kits in the backpack. Take a stick and torch with you too. Keep comfortable clothes such as t-shirt and track pad and keep the thermal and waterproof jackets for winter. Wear good quality shoes.

How will i track Track from first to third day

Once you reach Leh, you will have to spend one to two days here for preparation. After this you can see some places of Leh such as Shanti Stupa, Pangong Lake, Thaksi Math etc. On the third day you will be leaving for the village of Stok which will be the start of your track. On the way you will see the beautiful sights of Ladakh. Track is up to Chang Maa, which is 13 feet, 087 from Stok village.

The king of Ladakh used to live in this village, so you will have to see this village as a majestic look. After reaching Chang Ma, you can relax by putting a camp here.

Tracking from fourth to sixth day

After crossing some water lakes, when you reach the cool desert of Ladakh, you will know what is the height. All this will get you the fourth day of tracking Mostly tracking will be in the gray desert. It is a bit easier and on the fourth day you will reach En-korma, which is 14,200 feet high. By the fourth day you will be fully prepared for Stok Kangri. The base camp will be at an altitude of 16,300 feet, with a very beautiful view.

False Kangri and Gulap Kangri will also be visible from here. Trek will be just a few hours away from the Base Camp of Macromaya. The sixth day may be a little comfortable for you, because on this day you will be told about tremendous difficulties and tremendous trends. During the sixth day of Ladakh’s beauty, you have to prepare yourself for the rest of the day.

Tracking from seventh to eighth day

The seventh day of tracking is very important. You have to prepare yourself physically and mentally for the hardest and longest haul of the entire track. Now you have to track the base camps to Stok Kangri. Its height is 20,080 feet. This path passes through the glacier. This track usually takes 9 to 10 hours, but if you are new you may take 2 to 4 hours. Start your day as soon as possible. After all, the last day of your track came.

The beautiful scenes of Karakoram and Janska series will make you enchanting. Get ready to come back to the track after staying overnight. It will be a bit easier. You will take 4-5 hours on the way to 14 km. If you want, you can divide it into two parts and relax in the base camp at night. If you want, you can also leave for Leh on the same day.
